Membership

Los Amigos Episcopales is a 501(c)3 non-profit peace and justice ministry in the Diocese of Ohio. Since 1992, LAE has worked in partnership with the Diocese of El Salvador. At the request of the Rt. Rev. David Alvarado, Episcopal Bishop of El Salvador, our emphasis is on raising funds to support the church schools.

Membership is open to all.  Active members represent 7 Episcopal churches in the Diocese of Ohio along with representatives from the Cleveland-area Salvadoran community. Our members are dedicated to the mission of supporting the vocational, educational, social and humanitarian programs of the Episcopal Church in
El Salvador. Members and friends periodically visit El Salvador at their own expense to assess the needs there and often work on building and repair projects during their stay. All members are volunteers, including the officers. There is no paid staff.
